“Los Cuises is a vineyard that covers just over a hectare at the foot of the Sierra de Quilmes, a little oasis with stony soils and surrounded by fig trees and jacaranda trees—a green patch in the middle of the desert about 6,000 feet above sea level. This malbec has a pronounced herbal side with sweet red fruits as well as a strong presence of acidity that traces the contours of the tongue. In terms of texture, it’s firm, with sharp tannins. This is a malbec with a great personality and rather delicate by the standards of the variety in that extreme area of Argentina”
Origin: Finca Alto Rio Seco
Harvest: Early March. Hand Picked grapes in boxes of 20 kg
Colour: Purple red wine with violet hues
Aroma: Well defined, elegant and complex fresh fruity aromas.
Flavour: Plums, blackberries with rose floral aftertaste. Excellent balanced acidity. Firm texture with sharp tannins.
Aging: French and American oak barrels of 225 litres. Each varietal rests in barrels separately between 14 months
Pair with: Barbecued lean red meats, slow cook stews and spiced hard cheeses
